Luigi Caccia Dominioni (1913–2016) was a central figure in post-war Italian architecture and design, known for his rigorous, elegant, and highly functional approach. In 1947, he founded in Milan Azucena, a brand that would become an international reference in high-end furniture and design. Azucena was established with the aim of producing essential yet sophisticated objects and furniture, characterized by pure lines, premium materials, and a strong focus on craftsmanship and construction quality.

Among his most iconic creations is the Grappolo chandelier, in its rare and highly sought-after large version with 4 glass globes.
