For Tod’s the fashion show is in the interiors of the faboulous Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan.
Walter Chiapponi, creative director of the brand, sets the presentation of the new spring-summer 2021 collection in Pietro Portaluppi’s masterpiece.
During a Milan Fashion Week characterized by numerous fashion shows and virtual events, Tod’s decides to present the new collection through a short film shot entirely in the rooms of Villa Necchi Campiglio, location already used by the brand in 2018. The clothes for spring-summer 2021, designed by the creative director of the brand Walter Chiapponi, are worn by models walking in Pietro Portaluppi’s masterpiece, a single-family house completed in 1935 and surrounded by a large garden in the historic center of Milan.
Almost as a quotation from the film Io sono l’amore by Luca Guadagnino, the direction by Antoine Asseraf gives back the image of a refined and bourgeois Milan. Along with recognizable faces such as Mariacarla Boscono, Karen Elson, and Irina Shayk, the video is accompanied by the notes of Okay Kaya, singer-songwriter who, as model and actress, is known as Kaya Wilkins.
