Description
Corrado Corradi dell’Acqua (1902–1963) was an Italian architect and designer active within the landscape of modern Italian design in the 20th century. Through his work, Corradi dell’Acqua developed an elegant and functional design language, placing strong emphasis on material quality, balanced proportions, and refined detailing.
Between the late 1940s and the 1950s, Corradi dell’Acqua collaborated with Azucena, the historic design company founded in 1947 and a key reference point for post-war Italian design. During this formative and experimental phase of the brand, he contributed to the creation of high-quality furniture and furnishings defined by clean lines, formal balance, and exceptional craftsmanship.
This collaboration with Azucena confirms Corrado Corradi dell’Acqua’s role as an interpreter of timeless, intellectually driven design, now highly regarded within the field of Italian design collecting and 20th-century furniture studies.
